Data Scientists Who Dream

Face it, “data scientist” is not exactly the most glamorous occupation in high tech. But these are the people we are encouraging to think outside the box in order to better understand consumer patterns.

Visual Data Group has a youthful outlook, and I chose to reflect that in a bit of corporate advertising. It fit in nicely as the back cover of a take off of a comic book about business intelligence.

Close on body copy: “There is no secret to happiness, it’s never too late to have a happy childhood and you’ll never get to the bottom of your data issue if you don’t call or write us today.”

A Business Intelligence Adventure

Qlik reseller Visual Data Group found the perfect piece to use as a premium hand-out: a fully illustrated comic book in PDF format.

But to create such a piece in the real world would require three blank pages, as nine illustrated pages are what the company provided. Tim created his own ads to create a fun publication customized for the client. This PDF includes the three retro-style ads created for this effort.

Reseller Channel Artistry

Namco revitalized its signature character and needed to convince video game dealers this was not a recycling of the same old game. I used call-outs to feature some highlights of the game, just as Leonardo might have done.

Excerpt from body copy: He may still be round… but for video-game retailers, Pac-Man has a physique that will roll off the shelves!

A Lab for Vegetables

In order to reach out to new markets and continue exposure of its brand as the fastest, most accurate, efficient, and economical plant DNA lab, Ag-Biotech selected Tim to write their advertising. He not only wrote the copy but helped put together the platform too.

Tim helped Ag-Biotech with a whole campaign, from which this ad was taken. He was also critical to the development of strategy. From the copy: “The quickest path from lab to market is Ag-Biotech.”
